Marc Furber

Marc is an Associate Attorney at HKR, where his practice is focused on first-party property disputes and related extracontractual litigation. Marc also provides guidance to HKR’s insurer clients on claim investigation, policy interpretation, and compliance with claim handling regulations.  Marc’s practice also involves all aspects of casualty litigation and coverage issues, including catastrophic injury, construction defect, fraud/affirmative actions, defense and indemnification disputes, and underinsured and uninsured motorist coverage issues.

Before joining HKR, Marc was a highly respected prosecutor with more than 25 years of experience, including extensive trial and leadership experience in complex and high-stakes cases. He most recently served as Chief Deputy District Attorney of Bucks County, where he was also the Chief of Insurance Fraud and Chief of Economic Crimes.

Throughout his career, Marc has specialized in the investigation and prosecution of insurance fraud, economic crimes, and complex financial offenses. For the past eight years, he has focused almost exclusively on insurance fraud and related economic crimes, earning statewide recognition for his work in this area. Marc has tried a wide range of serious felony cases to verdict, including homicide, attempted murder, rape, arson, firearms offenses, theft, and large-scale fraud matters.

Marc’s work has been recognized with numerous honors, including the 2024 Fraud Fighter Award for Prosecutor of the Year from the Pennsylvania Insurance Fraud Prevention Authority and the 2023 Tony Kane Award from the Pennsylvania Auto Crime Investigators Association for excellence in the investigation and prosecution of insurance fraud.
