Lance Sacknoff
As an as Associate Attorney at HKR, Lance focuses his practice on the insurance industry. He regularly represents insurers in the defense of extracontractual cases and coverage disputes.
Prior to joining HKR, Lance acquired experience as a law clerk for a private practice focusing on wills, trusts and estates, and as a certified legal intern with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Office of State Inspector General, focusing on administrative laws and analysis of Pennsylvania statutes governing state Executive agency actions.
Predating his entry into legal practice, Lance taught undergraduate English at The University of Arizona and Iowa State University and worked as a programmer and document automation consultant in the legal tech and financial underwriting and mortgage industries.
Over his varied professional career, Lance engaged in doctoral academic work in English and Information Science, acquired his M.A. in English Literature at Iowa State University, and matriculated from the University of Pittsburgh with a dual B.A. in Creative Writing and History. His most recent academic credentialing—a J.D. and Certificate in Entrepreneurship Law: Technology and Intellectual Property from Penn State University Dickinson School of Law—will be, he swears, his last academic endeavor.
