Andrew Abramson

Andrew Abramson has over 30 years of legal experience, knowledge of all areas of employment law, and experience in litigating, arbitrating and mediating employment law claims in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, He is a trained American Arbitration Association mediator who exhibits practicality and patience with the ability to work with all kinds of employees and employers.

Mr. Abramson is a firm believer that mediation is an effective alternative to protracted, costly litigation or arbitration, which allows employees to move on with their lives and employers to move on with their business. A process-styled mediator, Mr. Abramson also mediates for the American Arbitration Association and is also Volunteer Mediator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Philadelphia District Office.

Practicing law since 1989 – first with a large firm, employer-side experience in commercial litigation; over the past 25 years Mr. Abramson has developed experience in all facets of an active employment law practice where he represents employees and some employers. From employment discrimination, non-compete agreements, wrongful terminations, whistleblower claims, as well as executive employment contracts, Mr. Abramson’s deep experience further includes: sexual harassment; equal pay; ADA reasonable accommodations; whistleblower claims, unpaid  overtime claims; FMLA, ERISA, USERRA, WARN; and many other employment based claims.

Mr. Abramson has been repeatedly recognized as a Super Lawyer in Plaintiff Employment Litigation and the highest rating available to any individual lawyer by receiving an AV ® Pre-Eminent rating by the Martindale Hubbell Peer Review Rating system, based upon the confidential opinions of members of the Bar and the Judiciary. A summa cum laude graduate of George Washington University, Mr. Abramson returned to his roots for law school, as an alumnus of Temple University School of Law where he served as Executive Vice-President of the Moot Court Honor Society and received the Barrister’s Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy.

He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, as well as the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, along with the U.S. District Courts for New Jersey, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Middle District of Pennsylvania.  He’s also active in the National Employment Lawyers Association as well as a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Montgomery Bar Association.

Mr. Abramson has many interests outside the law. He serves on the Boards of the Lower Gwynedd Township Human Relations Commission and the Suburban Philadelphia PIAA Soccer Officials Association. He also is a former President of the Kelly Anne Dolan Memorial Fund of Ambler, PA which sponsors many programs dedicated to the uninsured needs of families, and a former Board member of the Penn Jersey American Red Cross
